The current market in Denham Springs is phenomenal. In 2013, our team sold 419 homes with a majority of them being listings. The pendulum of the market is swinging back in favor of the sellers; the days on market is beginning to decrease and the only issue we are dealing with nationally is regarding flood insurance. The measure has passed the Senate and we’re waiting for the House to approve it which should bring us four years of relief.
What are the Current Interest Rates Like
As of now, interest rates are still very low. My clients are seeing rates in the 4-4.25% range making now a great a time to buy a home. Even 10 and 15 year mortgage rates are great as well! We don’t expect interest rates to significantly rise in the near future as long as the Fed stays on track with what they’re doing. We are very optimistic with what is ahead of us in the upcoming years and that things are turning around from what they were several years ago.
