Now that the holidays have ended and the new year is in full swing, many people are looking to put their home on the market. Because the spring market is creeping up on us, many have asked, "What should I do before I put my house on the market?" Today, we share three things you need to do before putting your home on the market!

  1. Get your home pre-appraised: This is one of the most important things you can do before selling for a number of reasons. In today's world, buyers want a home that is in the best condition, for the best price. In order to price your home correctly, we suggest getting your home appraised before you list it - that way, you'll know the price point that will attract buyers.
  2. Have your home staged: If you have a vacant home, virtual staging is an easy option thanks to advances in technology. If your home isn't vacant, you need to position your furniture and decor in a way that maximizes space and draws attention to your home's best features.
  3. Have your home pre-inspected: You want to address any issues your home might have before you put it on the market. Finding problems with the home late in the process can cause the deal to fall through.

This is all part of our Certified Pre-Owned Home Program. It helps us maximize our sellers' returns when working with us, and we suggest you give it a try! If you have questions about the program, or need real estate assistance of any kind, don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email! We would love to hear from you!
